The Beverage Station
The first place your office has to make an impression on patients is the waiting room. This is a critical piece of any dental office design and interior branding project. In shaping a warm and welcoming atmosphere, what better way to greet someone than to offer them something to drink? Isn’t this what good hosts and hostesses do when you visit them in their home? Don’t you want your patients to feel as comfortable visiting you at your practice as they would if they were visiting you at home?
The beverage station can come in many forms. The station can be a self-serve arrangement with a coffee pot and bar refrigerator full of water and soda, or you may opt for a more full service arrangement where the office staff asks the patient what they would like and serve it to them. Either way works provided thought is given to the presentation and logistics so it doesn’t come off as haphazard and undermine the welcoming environment you are trying to create. Loath is the self-serve station that is left unattended and becomes messy or under stocked. The staff needs to be trained to keep track of the area so this never happens or you may as well just take it out. Your brand will not be well served by a mess in your waiting room or a coffee pot that is never full!
